Will the more (Moore?) outlandish James Bond return in Spectre?
Though I wasn’t nuts about its final act, I quite enjoyed James Bond’s last outing, Skyfall. It had good action and a quality villain, and hints of the enjoyable lunacy from the Roger Moore days, something Daniel Craig said he was willing to embrace. (Maybe not orbiting laser space stations, but perhaps a villainous base hid in the side of a rocky island or something, you know?) The big Sony leak spoiled many of the key beats from this upcoming effort, Spectre, but one hopes that Craig (who’s been playing Bond for about a decade now — time flies) and director Sam Mendes have crafted another fine entry, with the sort of set pieces we’ve come to expect from this venerable franchise. The above trailer would seem to suggest that this is so.
And the more outlandish elements of the bond series’ middle years? Look no further than the title. And hey, Drax is in this! Will he Batista-Bomb Bond? How can we go wrong?
I would pay good money to watch a Daniel Craig Batista Bomb! haha! Great post.
