Who I am
Blog into Mystery is about me buying comics and hopefully learning a thing or two along the way. I live in the Washington, DC metro area, I’m just north of 30 years old and I make no claims to being an expert – I’m here to learn just as much as I’m here to spout off.

I am a bigtime Kirby fan. I’ve read some of what you’ve written about him. Good stuff. I do comic art. Stop in for a visit at my site http://www.BeholdComics.com
or drop me an email.
Hello!
I represent an audio publisher who is introducing a new line of enhanced audiobooks featuring pulp fiction characters and novels. If these are something you would be interested in reviewing on your site, we’d be happy to send you review copies. Drop a line to me and we’ll work out the details. Thanks!
Your comic blog is the only one I read on a regular basis – Will you be talking about the rise and fall of Jim Shooter? Harbinger Comics? – Keep up the good work
Jim Shooter — he’s had his fair share of rises and falls. I’ve thought about taking a look at some of the aborted New Universe titles that came out during his Marvel editorship. Hopefully in the not too distant future. Hell, the Valiant stuff is a pretty rich vein too. Keep checking in.
I’m a 41 years old comic fan from México that just discovered your blog by searching Mort Drucker’s MAD 200. I will be checking it often.
stumbled over your space. Great fun. The articles and snippets
Just found your blog. Very entertaining stuff. Me, I go back to the days when you could pick up a copy of Avengers 15 in a second-hand book store or maybe find a new copy in a newsagent…..yes, this was the sixties in England. I’ve loved the Avengers ever since….and I am going to see the film on May 4th”..even though it comes out a week earlier here! I hate going on the first few days….too many kids and chatter boxes!,,,
Love the blog. Equal parts honor and snark. Never miss it…
Keep up the good work!
I’ve nominated your blog for the Thought-Provoking Blog Award. What you have to do about it is here: http://mlewisredford.wordpress.com/2012/09/01/thought-provoking-blog/.
It’s just a bit of recognition and publicity. If you don’t want to pick it up I won’t be offended.
Could you contact me about your writing? Seeking great contributors for our expansion into comics and movie news. Thx! canewspodcast at g mail
Nice attitude. It’s not a race to expertdom.
Hello,
To be honest, I’m not much of a comic book reader, but what caught my eye was this post about wrestling! My experience with this is long. My father was a wrestling fan, so we grew up watching and attending mainstream wrestling for many years.
Now, when I was a little girl living in So. California in the early 70’s, I got to see and meet many of the greats of wrestling! Andre The Giant, Freddie Blassie, John Tolos, Pedro Morales, Fabulous Moolah and more. Then came the 80’s with HUlk Hogan and Roddy Piper to name a few.
Now these where the good ole days of wrestling!! Great Post!
Author, Catherine Lyon 🙂
… great blog!
I found it after a picture about LASSIE.
Well, your comment about it is very sad: and thank God it is not real.
These films where she (or IT) was a hero used to touch me (I confess when I remember of it I am touched). Production with animals always make me sad; and what worries me is what happens in REAL LIFE – in my country (BRAZIL)_bad things always happen/and with the poor laws we have here… wish to disapear!
I was seeing other parts of the blog, they were cool 2: and I will see all.
Thanks (Rodrigo)
