Granted, this ad doesn’t hold the implied promise of riches and women, but at least there’s the not-so-alluring bait of greater job security.

Vocational education: catch the wave. Take what you can get, you know? Also, have to love these postwar olden times, when repairmen wore office shirts and black ties and looked as if they worked for NASA. Certainly goes over better than the de rigueur “ass crack peeking out of jeans worn too low.”
