This old chunk of coal was watching an episode of Doctor Who yesterday — the Jon Pertwee era’s Master-infused “The Time Monster” — and laughed a bit at the above scene. TOMTIT was Transmission Of Matter Through Interstitial Time, one of the goofiest acronyms in the history of fictional science. Yet it pretty much sums up why the Third Doctor’s adventures are the best, at least in this site’s opinion. Ah, dear departed Nicholas Courtney — everything absurd needs a good straight man.
Happy weekend. And happy birthday to the second most momentous thing to occur at the end of November in 1963.
