Get a head start on your Christmas shopping with this glorious 1960s Hulk sweatshirt
We’ve seen plenty of spectacular comic book garments over the years, but the one you see above is maybe the cake-taker. The “Here Comes the Hulk/There Goes the Hulk” front and back masterpiece might be the finest product ever churned out by the House of Ideas, totally fitting in with the character, and perhaps rivaling “I’m with Stupid” for novelty fashion preeminence. (It’s that he’s towing a wooden bunny that totally sells the bit. Okay, that and the giant foot.) Pair it with a collared shirt underneath, and you just might be an unstoppable force yourself, whether you’re on a date, at a job interview or receiving a papal audience. It certainly wipes the floor with the Avengers shirt beneath it, which features the least inspiring roster ever for that team.
So travel back in time — maybe Quicksilver can help — and get that bit of Hulk wonderment. While supplies last(ed). (Or just buy a modern variant — sans wooden bunny.)
I always wanted that sweatshirt, but couldn’t afford it as a kid, even at $2.98! The inclusion of the bunny is a deal-breaker, though – I can’t buy the new shirt without the wooden bunny.
