The above trailer for Independence Day into Darkness, I mean, Independence Day:Resurgence lacks the surprise oomph of the classic tease for the original, but we won’t hold that against it. Though the sequel will lack the “Aw hell nawh” presence of Will Smith, here’s hoping that it’s at least as stupidly grand as its predecessor was twenty(!) years ago. Jeff Goldblum in space! Bill Pullman back as the president who presided over aliens razing Earth to the ground and uttered the line “I’m out of missiles!”! Break out your oversized Topps trading cards!
