Come (W)HACK OFF! with Angelina Jolie

It’s eerie how this film’s promotional tagline so accurately predicted the purpose to which most (male) users would put the Internet, no?

I have zero recollection of Hackers, nor that a young, sassy and spritely Angelina Jolie starred in the same. I do think it’s safe to say that it was the last time that Jonny Lee Miller (her first husband, pre-Billy Bob and Brad) had a higher billing. And I think we all know that the Short Circuit saga was the definitive Fisher Stevens computer science filmography. But if Max Headroom isn’t enough to sate your lust for outdated cyberpunk, it might be for you.
