Schroeder’s first piano?

March 22, 2014

colorkeypiano

This ad was pulled out of an early 1960s comic, and the clothes found in and general tenor of the other ads made me read the “11 popular color songs included!” copy as “11 popular colored songs included!” Which are two vastly different things. Thankfully, it’s the former that’s what’s actually on the page, and this old-timey music device isn’t tainted by Jim Crow.

Anyway, it’s a teeny tiny piano with color-coded keys, sort of a Steinway/xylophone fusion. Buy one and unleash your child’s inner Schroeder!
