Hey, the trailer for Captain America: Wrinkly Old White Men Are Always the “Surprise” Villains in These Things is out!
October 24, 2013
They might as well have subtitled it The Dark Redford Rises. Because everyone wants to watch Old Sundance sleepwalk through line deliveries of clunky dialogue and collect a paycheck. But the Falcon! And ScarJo’s taut hindquarters! Where do I buy my ticket?!?!

I take it you were unimpressed with the trailer? Or were you just poking some friendly fun at it?
Either way, I’m looking forward to this film a lot now.
I just feel like I’ve already seen it, not from anything given away, but from the telegraphed tropes. But it very well might surprise me, and, in fairness, the first CA movie did just that.
Just so long as Redford isn’t revealed to be the Mandarin. (Then again, maybe that would work…)
While, I get what you mean with Redford, I didn’t really see it when I watched the trailer, but after reading your comments, I could see them going that way with his character. Still, they might just make him corrupt and morally wrong but still not really a villain. KIND OF like Rutger Hauer’s character in Batman Begins.
Admiral Marcus: Redux — maybe they’ll give Redford a bigger, stronger, super-duper-top-secret Helicarrier called the Vengeance.
