The new Suicide Squad trailer has arrived, with Batman sightings and a Superman name-drop

Good to see that Will Smith is really stretching his chops by portraying Will Smith here — a true tour de force. A part of me wants to punch this movie in the face, but that’s probably a fair reaction to a ragtag group of rogues, so we’ll see how it all plays out. Who knows, it might be good. But Warner Bros. has to be crapping bricks after the critical drubbing of Batman v Superman, and the fact that it didn’t make 1000 gajillion dollars like they said they needed it to JUST TO BREAK EVEN.

One wonders if they’re tempted to beef up the small Batman role in the re-shoots after the positive reception Ben Affleck got for his turn. We shall see.
