Is he waving? Carrying an invisible boombox over his shoulder?

This Remco “energized” look might be the stiffest Spider-Man pose I’ve ever seen. Ah, the days before points of articulation.

My brother had this, and it was an odd item. Hard, solid plastic. And while I can see uses for non-articulated figures, I have no idea why they picked such a boring permanent pose for this.
Of course this wasn’t “before points of articulation,” as the Mego line was already well-established. It was just weird, plain and simple. But at least it was better than my brother’s “Hugo” doll, which I swear housed the spirit of Beelzebub.
You’re right. I guess I was thinking of how I’d never heard the term “points of articulation” until recent years. I’m not a big action figure guy, but it seems that now you can pose everything from the fingers to the eyebrows on these damn things.
