Them was the rules at NASA in the 60’s, pal. Crew cut, short-sleeved shirt, necktie (clip-ons are preferred) and horn-rimmed glasses, whether you need them or not. When the guys started to grow sideburns and longer hair in the 70’s, that’s when the space program slowed down.
